Karoo Blush was born from a deep rooted love for the Karoo’s open spaces, the fresh air and the whispering sun beetles on those breeze-free nights. It’s this beautiful simplicity that Karoo Blush strives to achieve with their skincare products, and we wanted to achieve with their new branding. With this motivation we set off to create an environmentally-friendly CI and branding solution.
The logo reflects the landscape you see as you drive through the Karoo as well as the curves of a body.
The colours come from the hues of the dust, earth and the sky from the light at dusk.
They are quite flexible as they represent the fragrances of the products.
With a very low budget for their packaging, the challenge was how to create a sense of luxury without breaking the bank. We choose to go with a slightly handmade aesthetic, to mirror the fact that all the products are natural and hand-made in small batches. The labels were minimalist and very neat, to ensure that it didn’t look “crafty”.
